 Apa itu Recount text?

Recount text adalah text yang isinya berupa pengalaman personal atau liburan

JENIS-JENIS RECOUNT;

1.      Personal Recount Text adalah teks yang bertujuan untuk menceritakan kembali pengalaman penulis secara pribadi.

2.      Factual recount text adalah text yang bertujuan untuk menjelaskan atau menerangkan sebuah kejadian yang terjadi secara faktual, contohnya seperti kejadian ilmiah dalam ilmu pengetahuan atau kecelakaan dalam laporan kepolisian.

3.      Imaginative Recount Text adalah text yang bertujuan imajinatif yang menuliskan imajinasi pengalaman si penulis dari masa lalu.

4.      Historical recount text adalah text yang berisi mengenai sejarah baik itu tentang tempat bersejarah sampai benda-benda bersejarah

CIRI-CIRI RECOUNT TEXT

1.       Menggunakan kalimat Past Tense (lampau), seperti went, departed, would, woke up, dan lain sebagainya.

2.       Menggunakan adverb dan adverbial phrase untuk mengungkapkan waktu, tempat dan cara, seperti: last September, Pari Island, on then, second day, dan lain sebagainya.

3.       Menggunakan conjunction dan time connectives guna mengurutkan peristiwa atau kejadian, seperti: and, before, then, after that, dan lain sebagainya

STRUCTURE TEXT

1.       ORIENTATION;

Adalah paragraph yang berisi informasi mengenai latar belakang/ pembukaan suatu topic yang akan disampaikan, seperti siapa yang terlibat, dimana hal tersebut terjadi, serta kapan hal itu berlangsung.

Untuk memudahkan dalam pemahaman untuk menulis orientasi adalah sebagai berikut;

a.       DID YOU HAVE A NICE VACANCY LAST SEMESTER?

b.      WHERE DID YOU GO?

 

2.       RECORD OF THE EVENTS;

Adalah paragraph yang berisi tentang rekaman aktivitas atau kejadian di masa lalu yang diceritakan secara berurutan sesuai kronologi aktivitas tersebut. Untuk memudahkan kalian dalam menulis recount text missal aktifitas  selama liburan. Maka perhatikan pertanyaan-pertanyaan berikut ini untuk membantu menumbuhkan ide kalian dalam membuat recount text.

CONTOH 1

Watching Movie

My sister and I went to see a film last night. It was an American movie called The Lost Flight. It showed how people can quickly change when they have to look after themselves in the jungle. It was an interesting film about a plane which crashed on a small empty island in the Pacific Ocean.

Although the passengers were safe, nobody knew where the plane had crashed. So the passengers had to learn how to hunt for food in the jungle and how to catch fish from the sea to eat. After a few weeks, the passengers were eating raw fish and meat.

After they had been on the island for two months, three of the men made a boat and sailed away to find help. But their boat sank and they were drowned.

Meeting a Star

On Saturday morning at 9:30, I was walking down Sunda Street, looking for a record store. A man stopped me and asked me the way to the Hyatt Hotel. I wasn’t sure exactly where it was, but I walked with him to the end of Sunda Street. He was very friendly, and his face looked so familiar.

Then I remembered where the Hyatt was and told him how to get there. He thanked me and tried to give me something. I thought it was money. I said ‘no’ at first, but he really wanted me to have it, so I took it.

I found the record store and listened to a few records. D’ Masive had a new record that was number two in the top twenty. I decided to buy it. I looked in my bag for my wallet and found a piece of paper the man gave me. It was a photo.  I was so surprised! He was a singer in D’ Masive!

My First Trip to Pari Island

Last September, I went to Pari Island for a holiday. I went there with Sarah, Andi, Eveline, and Yoko. That was my first time to travel there.

Our boat departed from Muara Angke port to the island at 8.00 AM. We arrived at Pari Island around 10.00 Am. After that, we went to our guest house that we had booked before. Fortunately, our guest house was located near to the port, so we did not have to walk so far. The first thing that we did after that was rent bicycle. It only cost IDR 20.000 per day. Then we did cycling for a while and had lunch before we decided to do snorkeling.

When we went snorkeling, the fisherman who became our guide brought us to the beach far enough from our guest house. We did snorkeling there. The water was very clear. We could see groups of tiny fishes and beautiful coral under the sea. After we did snorkeling for approximately three hours, we returned to our guest house. We ended up the first day by getting dinner and took some walks around.

On the second day, we woke up so early to watch sunrise. We did not need to go far to watch the sunrise because our guest house was so near to the beach and we could watch the sunrise there. Sunrise on the beach, what a beautiful view!

After we spent long enough time to watch the sunrise, we decided to get breakfast. There was a festival at that time. We went to the festival and had breakfast there. We ate some delicious sea foods. We felt time went so fast that day. We needed to return to our guest house because our boat that would bring us home would depart at 10.00 AM.

In summary, my first trip to Pari Island was so enjoyable. I would like to visit this place again together with my family in another chance.
